Ashraf Gaffar

Ashraf Gaffar recently received his PhD in Computer Science from Concordia University in Montreal, Canada. He is also a part time faculty member since 1999. His research combines the areas of software engineering, interface design and usability. His interest covers both system architecture and the development process.

He works on the development of highly interactive and distributed applications, which involve several programming languages, middleware and platforms collaborating together. He participated in the design and building of Concordia’s first usability lab. He also participated in several usability tests jointly with industrial and research partners like Daimler Chrysler, FQRNT (Le Fonds Quebecois de la Recherche sur la Nature et les Technologies) and NSERC (Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada).
